Zborowski, Samuel

Zborowski, Samuel, b ?, d 26 May 1584. Polish magnate. In 1582 he was sent by the king of Poland, Stephen Báthory, to the Zaporozhian Sich in order to seek Cossack aid for Polish forces fighting in the Livonian wars. The mission failed, and Zborowski fled the Sich in fear of his life.
