Zbirnyk Istorychno-filosofichnoï sektsiï NTSh

Zbirnyk Istorychno-filosofichnoï sektsiï NTSh («Збірник Історично-філософічної секції НТШ»; Collection of the Historical-Philosophical Section of the NTSh). A series published irregularly by the Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSh) in Lviv. It began to appear in 1898 at the initiative of Mykhailo Hrushevsky. Altogether 16 volumes came out, 14 of them edited by Hrushevsky. Seven volumes and the first part of the eighth volume of Hrushevsky’s Istoriia Ukraïny-Rusy (History of Ukraine-Rus’) appeared in the series. The 5th volume of the series contained materials from the history of religious life in Galicia in the 18th and 19th centuries; the 15th volume contained Bohdan Barvinsky’s biography of Yuliian Tselevych, the first head of the NTSh; and the 16th volume contained Oleksii Novytsky’s study of Taras Shevchenko as a painter.
