Volhynia-Podilia Plate

Volhynia-Podilia Plate (also ‘Platform’). A Precambrian geological formation underlying the Volhynia-Kholm Upland and the Podolian Upland. With a crystalline foundation of up to almost 200 m in its western reaches, the plate has several layers of subsequent sedimentary deposits and contains coal and basalt.
