Ukraïns’kyi medychnyi vistnyk

Ukraïns’kyi medychnyi vistnyk («Український медичний вістник»; Ukrainian Medical Herald). An irregular journal published in Prague by the Ukrainian Physicians’ Association in Czechoslovakia in 1923–5 (six issues). During these years it was the only Ukrainian medical journal being published in the West, and its readership extended to Soviet Ukraine. Edited by Borys Matiushenko, the journal published articles on clinical and theoretical medicine, community hygiene, and eugenics. Besides scientific papers and professional news, it devoted much attention to the development of Ukrainian medical terminology. Its contributors included members of the association and doctors in Western Ukraine and Soviet Ukraine.
