Teodorovych, Yepifan

Teodorovych, Yepifan or Theodorowych, Epiphanius [Теодорович, Єпіфан; Teodorovyč, Jepifan], b 12 May 1881 in Ivanykivka, Stanyslaviv county, Galicia, d 3 February 1958 in Glen Cove, New York State, USA. Basilian priest; brother of Petro Teodorovych. He edited the journal Misionar in Zhovkva (1908–12) and compiled a Lives of the Saints (1912) before being sent to Canada as a missionary in 1921 and then to the United States of America in 1927. A strong supporter of Bishop Konstantyn Bohachevsky, he edited the newspaper Katolyts’kyi provid (1927–32) in Chicago and later served as a parish priest there and elsewhere. Teodorovych published a collection of sermons titled Katolyts'ke zhyttia (Catholic Life, 2 vols, 1946, 1948).
