Teodorovych, Ananii

Teodorovych, Ananii [Теодорович, Ананій; Teodorovyč, Ananij], b 16 December 1900 in Bilyn, Kovel county, Volhynia gubernia, d 3 November 1971 in Jamaica, New York State, USA. Orthodox church leader. After completing theological studies in Zhytomyr and Kamianets-Podilskyi, he served as a parish priest in the Rivne area. A postwar displaced person in Germany, he emigrated to Australia in 1948. There he helped organize the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox church and served as head of the church’s consistory and administrator. He died while taking part in a sobor in the United States and was buried in Sydney.
