Synytsky, Maksym

Synytsky, Maksym [Синицький, Максим; Synyc'kyj], b 1882, d 2 May 1922 in Kyiv. Lawyer and civic and cultural organizer. He was a founder and president of the Ukrainian Club and the Prosvita society (1905–6) in Kyiv. He worked as business manager of and was a contributor to the newspaper Rada (Kyiv). Together with Vasyl Koroliv-Stary and Modest Levytsky he founded the Chas publishing house in Kyiv. He died from typhus.
