Svicha River
Svicha River [Свіча; Sviča]. (Map: Svicha River.) A right-bank tributary of the Dnister River that flows for 106 km through Ivano-Frankivsk oblast and Lviv oblast and drains a basin area of 1,490 sq km. The river originates in the Gorgany Mountains and initially has a mountainous character; it then develops a wider valley (5–6 km) along its lower course. It is used for water supply and irrigation.
