Skovoroda-Zachyniaiev, Oleksander
Skovoroda-Zachyniaiev, Oleksander [Сковорода-Зачиняєв, Олександер; Skovoroda-Začynjajev; real name: Зачиняєв; Zachyniaiev], b 22 August 1877 in Voskresenka, Zadonsk county, Voronezh gubernia, Russia, d 1936 in Vinnytsia. Educator and psychophysiologist. He was a gymnasium principal in Kyiv (until 1919) and (in the 1920s) a research associate of the Scientific-Pedagogical Commission of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (VUAN), the director of the reflexology laboratory of the VUAN, a lecturer at the Kyiv Veterinary Institute, Kyiv State Art Institute, and Lysenko Music and Drama Institute, and a docent of the Kyiv Medical Institute. He was arrested in the 1930s, but later released. Thereafter he worked in the Vinnytsia Medical Institute.
