Rudnytsky, Roman

Rudnytsky, Roman [Рудницький, Роман; Rudnyc’kyj], b 1 November 1942 in New York. Pianist; son of Antin Rudnytsky and Mariia Sokil. Studying initially under his father, he graduated from the Philadelphia Conservatory and the Juilliard School of Music in New York. He has performed as a soloist and with symphony orchestras in the United States, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, and Ukraine and taught music at the University of Indiana and Youngstown State University in Ohio. His repertoire includes the works of Western composers as well as Borys Liatoshynsky, George Fiala, Antin Rudnytsky, and other Ukrainian composers.
