Rudnytsky-Liubienitsky, Teodosii
Rudnytsky-Liubienitsky, Teodosii [Рудницький-Любенецький, Теодосій; Rudnyc'kyj-Ljubjenic'kyj, Teodosij], b ca 1698 in Studenets, Volhynia, d ? Uniate bishop. A hegumen of the monasteries in Lutsk, Hoshcha, and Pochaiv (where he funded the Pochaiv Monastery Press at Pochaiv Monastery), he was consecrated bishop of Lutsk-Ostroh in 1731 (see Lutsk eparchy, where he was later succeeded by his younger brother Sylvestr Rudnytsky-Liubienitsky). He was the crown’s choice for metropolitan of Kyiv in 1747 but was forced to step down in favor of Floriian Hrebnytsky. He strove for friendly relations with the Orthodox in Volhynia and in Kyiv metropoly. In 1738 he wrote a book of instructions for the clergy.
