Rozsvit
Rozsvit (Dawn). A weekly (later semimonthly) newspaper published for Ukrainians in the Russian army interned in the prisoner of war camp in Rastatt, Germany, in 1916–18. Edited by Vasyl Simovych, H. Petrenko, and V. Moroz, it contained articles on political developments and on Ukrainian history and culture. The newspaper was supported by the Union for the Liberation of Ukraine and promoted the idea of Ukrainian independence.
