Raduga

Raduga («Радуга»; Rainbow). A Russian-language monthly journal published in Kyiv from 1963 by the Writers' Union of Ukraine. It was preceded by the monthly Krasnoe slovo (Kharkiv, 1927–32), the monthly Litstroi (Kharkiv, 1933), the monthly (Kharkiv, 1934) and bimonthly (Kyiv, 1935–7) Sovetskaia literatura, and the quarterly (1948–50) and monthly (1951–63) Sovetskaia Ukraina. Raduga contained works by Russian-language authors living in Ukraine and translations from Ukrainian. It served mainly to further Russification in Ukraine.
