Psol, Hlafira
Psol, Hlafira [Псьол, Глафіра; Ps'ol; married name: Dunina-Borkovska], b 24 October 1823 in Psolivka (now Psilske), Myrhorod county, Poltava gubernia, d 26 April 1886 in Moscow. Self-taught painter; sister of Oleksandra Psol. In 1843 she met Taras Shevchenko in Yahotyn and received his advice on painting. She did portraits of Nikolai Repnin, Varvara Repnina (1839), and Shevchenko.
