Muraveinyk-Komashnia
Muraveinyk-Komashnia [«Муравейник-Комашня»; Anthill]. A weekly organ of the Kyiv Association of Credit Unions, published in Kyiv in 1913–19. Initially it appeared in both Ukrainian and Russian, but official pressure in 1914–16 forced the publishers to use Russian only. After the Revolution of 1917 it appeared only in Ukrainian (as Komashnia and then as Kooperatyvnyi kredyt [Komashnia]). The paper published articles on credit unions and developments in the co-operative movement in Ukraine and abroad. Its editors were Khrystofor Baranovsky (1913–16), V. Melnykov, and, later, Fedir Matushevsky.
