Morshyn
Morshyn [Моршин; Moršyn]. Map: IV-4. A town smt (2015 pop 5,992) on the Berezhnytsia River in Lviv oblast and administered by the Stryi municipal council. It is first mentioned in historical documents in 1482. By the end of the 19th century it was known as a health resort, and in 1948 it was given smt status. Morshyn has eight sanatoriums and a hospital, which treat diseases of the digestive system, liver, joints, and peripheral nervous system using local mineral waters and peat muds. A research group of the Lviv Geological Association is stationed in Morshyn.
