Lutsenko, Ivan
Lutsenko, Ivan [Луценко, Іван; Lucenko], b 7 March 1863 in Keibalivka, Pyriatyn county, Poltava gubernia, d 25 March 1919 in Antoniny, Starokostiantyniv county, Volhynia gubernia. Physician and political leader in Odesa. He was a leading member of the Ukrainian People's party and later, during the Ukrainian struggle for independence (1917–20), the Ukrainian Party of Socialists-Independentists. He also served on the Central Rada. He helped organize and chaired the Odesa Military Council, and sat on the Ukrainian General Military Committee. While serving as a military doctor with the Army of the Ukrainian National Republic he was captured and executed by the Bolsheviks.
