Lappo-Danilevsky, Aleksandr
Lappo-Danilevsky, Aleksandr [Лаппо-Данилевский, Александр; Lappo-Danilevskij], b 27 January 1863 in Udachne, Katerynoslav county, d 7 February 1919 in Petrograd. Russian historian, archeologist, and professor in Saint Petersburg. Most relevant for Ukrainian studies are his publication Skifskie drevnosti (Scythian Antiquity, 1887; 2nd edn 1897) and his study of 14th-century wax seals from the Principality of Galicia-Volhynia.
