Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture

Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture [Київський інжинерно-будівельний інститут; Kyivskyi inzhenerno-budivelnyi instytut]. A technical institution of higher education in Kyiv. Formed in 1930 under the name Kyiv Construction Institute out of two departments of the Kyiv Polytechnical Institute and the architecture department of the Kyiv State Art Institute, it was renamed Kyiv Civil-Engineering Institute in 1939. In 1993 it was reorganized into the Kyiv State Technical University of Construction and Architecture and in 1999 was granted the national university status and assumed its present name. The university has six faculties: architecture, construction, construction technology, automatization and information technologies, engineering systems and ecology, and geoinformation systems and territorial management technologies. Its enrollment is over 10,500 students.
