Fedak, Stepan S.

Fedak, Stepan S. [Федак, Степан], b 6 May 1901 in Lviv, d 1945. Son of Stepan Fedak, officer in the Ukrainian Galician Army and the Army of the Ukrainian National Republic; brother of Olena Fedak-Sheparovych. As a member of the Ukrainian Military Organization (UVO) he made an attempt on the lives of the Polish president Józef Piłsudski and the Lviv voivode K. Grabowski on 25 September 1921. This brought on mass arrests of UVO members. Towards the end of the Second World War he disappeared without a trace in Berlin.
