Arkheolohiia

Arkheolohiia [«Археологія»; Archeology]. A scholarly journal published in Kyiv by the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (formerly Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR). It has been issued in three series: in 1947–70 (24 volumes), in 1971–88 (64 issues), and since 1989 (four issues per year). The serial contains materials about archeological discoveries in Ukraine, theoretical and methodological articles on archeological research, and studies of Ukraine’s prehistoric and ancient history and archeology. For many years the journal’s editor was Petro Tolochko.
