Aksenov, Oleksandr
Aksenov, Oleksandr, b 13 October 1929 in Krotovo, Novosibirsk oblast, RSFSR. Scientist specializing in the study of materials, Soviet civil servant, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Aksenov graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers, where he later taught. He was the institute’s rector from 1975 to 1988. From 1970 to 1975 he was deputy minister of civil aviation for the USSR. He has written studies on friction and the resistance of metals to fatigue.
