Adamant, Samiilo
Adamant, Samiilo [Адамант, Самійло]. Engraver in the latter half of the 18th century. Adamant produced engravings for the following books, published in Chernihiv: Akafisnyk (Book of Acathisti), for which he prepared six engravings, including Sviatyi Mykola (Saint Nicholas), Uspinnia (Dormition), and Sobor sviatykh (Council of the Saints); and Akafist Sviatoï Varvary (Acathistus of Saint Barbara, 1783), for which he prepared the engraving Sviata Varvara. His monogram was S.A.
