Nykorovych, Sylvestr [Никорович, Сильвестр; Nykorovyč, Syl'vestr], b 15 January 1905 in Kostyntsi, Vashkivtsi county, Bukovyna, d 2 May 1995 in Saint Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Civic and political leader, and journalist. The first liaison officer for Bukovyna of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, he edited the monthly Samostiina dumka in 1931–7 in Chernivtsi. In 1942–5 he published Zemlia, a newspaper for Ukrainian Ostarbeiter laborers in Germany. He emigrated to Canada in 1953 and was active in the Ukrainian National Federation.
