Ukrainian Socialist party
Ukrainian Socialist party (Ukrainska sotsiialistychna partiia). A union of émigré members of Ukrainian socialist parties from central (the Ukrainian Social Democratic Workers' party and the Ukrainian Party of Socialist Revolutionaries) and Western Ukraine (the Ukrainian Social Democratic party and the Ukrainian Radical party), formed in Augsburg, Germany, in 1950. The party supported the Government-in-exile of the Ukrainian National Republic and belonged to the Ukrainian National Council. It represented Ukraine in international socialist party congresses in Europe. Its leaders included Spyrydon Dovhal, B. Fedenko, Panas Fedenko, Ivan Luchyshyn, Volodymyr Lysy, Stepan Ripetsky, and Matvii Stakhiv. With the death of most of its members, it ceased to be active. The party published several issues of an irregular organ, Nashe slovo, and several books by P. Fedenko.
