Ukrainian Academic Press. A division of Libraries Unlimited, an American publishing house in Littleton, Colorado, owned by Bohdan Wynar. From 1972 the press issued translations of Ukrainian works: Valeriian Pidmohylny’s Little Touch of Drama (1972), Panteleimon Kulish’s Black Council (1973), Modern Ukrainian Short Stories (ed George Stephen Nestor Luckyj, 1973), Mykola Kulish’s Sonata pathétique (1975), Dmytro Chyzhevsky’s [ Čyževs’kyj’s] History of Ukrainian Literature (1975), Yevhen Sverstiuk’s Clandestine Essays (with the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, 1976), and Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky’s Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (1981). It also published works in English, such as Danylo Husar Struk’s Study of Vasyl Stefanyk: The Pain at the Heart of Existence (1973), the second edition of John Alexander Armstrong’s Ukrainian Nationalism 1939–45 (1980), and Wynar’s Ukraine: A Bibliographic Guide to English-Language Publications (1990).
