Ukraïns’ke slovo (Uzhhorod) (Ukrainian Word). A newspaper published weekly in 1932–7 and semiweekly in 1938 in Uzhhorod. It supported the Ukrainian national revival in Transcarpathia and was one of the first papers there to appear from the outset in Standard Ukrainian. The newspaper was founded by Yulii Brashchaiko and edited by his brother, Mykhailo Brashchaiko. Frequent contributors included Vasyl Grendzha-Donsky, Volodymyr Birchak, Rev K. Fedelesh, and I. Roman.
