Tuchola. See Google Map. A town (2017 pop 13,793) and county center in Bydgoszcz voivodeship, Poland. At the end of the First World War it was the site of a Polish internment camp, which held 700 officers and 500 soldiers of the Red Ukrainian Galician Army. In 1920 these troops had sought to negotiate an arrangement to join the Poles in their fight against the Bolsheviks. Instead they were disarmed and imprisoned. In the summer of 1920 Gen Myron Tarnavsky and other officers of the Ukrainian Galician Army were arrested in Lviv and brought to the camp. Some officers escaped to Germany, and the rest were released. In the winter of 1921 the camp was closed down.
