Robitnyk (1919–23)

Robitnyk (1919–23) (Worker). An organ of the Ukrainian section of the International Social Democratic Party of Bukovyna, published weekly (with several interruptions) in Chernivtsi in 1919–23. It was edited by Vasyl Rusnak. Robitnyk was succeeded by Borot’ba (1925–8), a Sovietophile weekly edited by I. Stasiuk, S. Halytsky, I. Mykhailovych, T. Kozak, and Rusnak. Both newspapers were severely censored by the Romanian authorities, and the editors were persecuted.
