Polyvaniv Yar settlement
Polyvaniv Yar settlement. A fortified Trypillia culture settlement of the mid-3rd to early 2nd millennium BC near Polyvaniv Yar, Kelmentsi raion, Chernivtsi oblast. Excavations in 1949–51 by Tatiana Passek revealed the remains of surface and semi-pit dwellings, flint workshops, a variety of tools, copper items, earthenware cult statues of women, and tableware decorated with designs in red, white, and black.
