Novi shliakhy («Нові шляхи»; New Roads). A Sovietophile literary, cultural, and political monthly published in Lviv from 1929 to 1932 and edited by Antin Krushelnytsky. Among the contributors were the Western Ukrainian writers Kryshelnytsky and his son Ivan Krushelnytsky, Vasyl Bobynsky, P. Derkach, Fed Fedortsiv, Yaroslav Halan, Osyp Turiansky, Ya. Kondra, Yurii Kosach, Volodymyr Levynsky, and I. Mykhailiuk and the Soviet Ukrainian authors Mykola Burachek, Pylyp Kozytsky, Yona Shevchenko, and M. Smuzhka (pseud of A. Ryndiuh). The journal contained Soviet literary works, both Ukrainian and Russian (translated mostly by S. Shchurat). In 1930 it had a print run of 2,500 copies. It was subject to severe censorship, and issues were often confiscated by the Polish authorities. After the journal was closed down by them, Krushelnytsky published four issues of a journal called Krytyka (April–July 1933).
