Nova zoria
Nova zoria [«Нова зоря»; New Star]. A newspaper of religious and social affairs published weekly in 1926–9 and then semiweekly to 1937 in Lviv and to 1939 in Stanyslaviv. It was the organ of the Ukrainian Christian Organization and then of the Ukrainian Catholic People's party (from 1930). The journal supported the ‘Westernizing’ factions in the Greek Catholic church that advocated the Latinization of the rite. The editors of Nova zoria were Tyt Teodosii Halushchynsky and Osyp Nazaruk (from 1928). In 1930 the paper had a circulation of 2,000.
