Nova rada (Kyiv)
Nova rada (Kyiv) (New Council). A daily newspaper that appeared in Kyiv from March 1917 to January 1919 as the continuation of Rada (Kyiv). Published initially by the Society of Friends of Ukrainian Scholarship, Literature, and Art, it later became the organ of the Ukrainian Party of Socialists-Federalists. In addition to detailed news reports and extensive reviews of the press, the newspaper published commentary on political and economic developments by prominent figures, such as Mykhailo Hrushevsky, Yevhen Chykalenko, Viacheslav Prokopovych, Fedir Matushevsky, Liudmyla Starytska-Cherniakhivska, Serhii Shelukhyn, Sofiia Rusova, Modest Levytsky, and Pavlo Khrystiuk. The editors of Nova rada were Andrii Nikovsky and Serhii Yefremov.
