Nosivka
Nosivka. Map: III-12. A town (2001 pop 15,966) on the Nosivochka River and a raion center in Chernihiv oblast. It is first mentioned, as Nosiv, in the Hypatian Chronicle under the year 1147. An ancient burial ground dating back to Kyivan Rus’ has been discovered in the vicinity. Under the Hetman state Nosivka was a company center of Chernihiv regiment. Today the town has a food industry and an agricultural research station.
