Molodniak [«Молодняк»; Youth]. A literary, cultural, and political monthly journal of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of Ukraine. Published in Kharkiv (1927–35) and Kyiv (1935–7) and edited by O. Hromov, B. Daniman, P. Trublaievych, Andrii Khvylia, and Pavlo Usenko, it published poetry and prose by members of the Komsomol writers’ group Molodniak (until 1932) and the Writers' Union of Ukraine (SPU, from 1932). From July 1936 the journal was also an SPU organ. In August 1937 it was superseded by Molodyi bil’shovyk, which appeared until May 1941.
