Krekhiv Apostolos
Krekhiv Apostolos. An important monument of literary Middle Ukrainian when it was most like the vernacular (see Ukrainian language). The apostolos consists of the Acts and Epistles, translated in 1563–72 mostly from the Polish Bible of 1563, and a commentary. The 663-page manuscript was discovered in the Krekhiv Monastery in Galicia, and has been described by Vasyl Lev, Ivan Ohiienko, and Jan Janów.
