Klepatsky, Pavlo
Klepatsky, Pavlo [Клепацький, Павло; Klepac'kyj], b 12 January 1885 in Puhachivka, Tarashcha county, Kyiv gubernia, d ? Historian. He was a professor at the Kamianets-Podilskyi Ukrainian State University and then at the Poltava Institute of People's Education. His main works include Ocherki po istorii Kievskoi zemli: Litovs'kii period (Essays on the History of the Kyiv Region: The Lithuanian Period, 1912), Ohliad dzherel do istoriï Ukraïny (A Survey of Sources on the History of Ukraine, 1920), and articles on the historian Mykhailo Maksymovych, on economic and social history of the first half of the 19th century, and on the plan to create an army from Cossacks during the Napoleonic Wars in the journal Ukraïna (1914–30) and elsewhere. He was arrested in the Stalinist terror of the 1930s and disappeared without a trace.
