Kara-Dag Nature Reserve
Kara-Dag Nature Reserve (Karadagskyi zapovidnyk AN URSR). A reserve in the Crimea established in 1979 to study the physical geography of the Kara-Dag Mountains and to conserve their natural resources (soils, flora, and fauna). From 1907 to 1979 the Kara-Dag Biological Station fulfilled this role.
