Holovko, Dmytro

Holovko, Dmytro [Головко, Дмитро], b 6 November 1905 in Uman, Kyiv gubernia, d 29 June 1978 in Kyiv. Master craftsman in ceramics. He studied at the Shevchenko School of Folk Art in Uman (1920–2) and the Art-Ceramics Tekhnikum in Mezhyhiria (1924–8). His works include vases and figurines using traditional Ukrainian folk pottery motifs (rams, deers, lions, etc).
