Haliakhovsky, Danylo [Галяховський, Данило; Haljaxovs’kyj], b and d ? Noted engraver. A graduate of the Kyivan Mohyla Academy, he worked in Kyiv (for the Kyivan Cave Monastery Press) from 1674 to 1709. His best-known engravings are two panegyric prints dedicated to metropolitans Varlaam Yasynsky and Yoasaf Krokovsky, a large announcement of a debate at the Kyivan Mohyla Academy dedicated to Ivan Mazepa (1708; the unique teza displays the hetman's portrait and is preserved at the Krasiński Library in Warsaw), and an engraving of John the Evangelist in the Bible of the Kyivan Cave Monastery (1707).
