Daniel Oliveberg de Graecani Atheniensis
Daniel Oliveberg de Graecani Atheniensis. Diplomat in the service of hetmans Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Ivan Vyhovsky. A hieromonk from Athens, he came to Ukraine in 1654. From 1655 to 1658, in the service of the Ukrainian government, he traveled on a number of diplomatic missions to Sweden, Transylvania, Moldavia, Wallachia, and Brandenburg. He was ennobled in Sweden and Poland; during the rule of Vyhovsky he was military secretary in Ukraine. His subsequent fate is unknown.
