Aksenteva, Zinaida

Aksenteva, Zinaida [Aksent'eva, Zinajida], b 25 July 1900 in Odesa, d 8 April 1969 in Poltava. Geophysicist, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR from 1951. In 1951–69 Aksenteva served as director of the Poltava Gravimetric Observatory of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, where she conducted long-term observations of gravitational oscillation. She took part in the gravimetric survey of Ukraine's territory.
