Seletsky, Kyrylo

Seletsky, Kyrylo [Селецький, Кирило; Selec'kyj], b 29 April 1835 in Pidbuzh, Sambir circle, Galicia, d 28 April 1918 in Tsebliv, Sokal county, Galicia. Ukrainian Catholic priest and author. After being ordained in 1860, he was a priest in several villages in Galicia and authored a number of popular religious books. From 1874 he was curate of Zhuzhil and Tsebliv. There he established the first residence of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate and helped found the Sisters of Saint Joseph (1894). He served as spiritual adviser to both congregations.
